A Change is A Coming

Wow. I have been really really bad at blogging lately. Funny thing is I've been THINKING about it a lot, just never actually getting to do it. As I run out the
door, scooping up clothes and nappies on my way, I'll see the computer and wish I could sit down and type something out but alas, too many things to do. And now I do have time I'm totally distracted - the people across the road are having a party and all I can hear is a rather drunk man singing at the top of his lungs and strumming a guitar. Quite poorly. And did I mention that the people across the road are in their 50's? :D

Anyway the winds of change have been blowing in the direction of my family recently. Lots of little things like new hobbies, new friendships, the end of an old friendship (looong story that one), but mainly in the form of a serious intent to move house. And not only move house, but move state. Yup yup. I have never lived anywhere but sunny QLD but we are seriously thinking about moving to Melbourne. I'm just ready for a change, you know? I've only visted Melbourne a couple of times, and only ever the city, but Hubby has been there a lot and he says I will love it. I'm really excited about the thought and spend every spare moment googling suburbs and schools. We're trying to make a short list of suburbs based on reccomendations and the results of my manic googling so when we go there early next year we can spend a couple of days in each short-listed suburb. Sounds very logical doesn't it? Given I'm likely to be the least logical person you will ever meet in your life I'm quite proud about that :D

The typical thing is I love the house we are currently in. And we've said that before we think about selling we need to do all the things to it that we've wanted to do since we moved in (new tiles in the sunroom, new coat of paint, etc) which means that we would make it just perfect - only to sell and move away! Argh! Can we move a house to melbourne I wonder? ;)

Speaking of painting Hubby has just carried all the painting gear into the middle of the living room so I think I've got my night planned out!

The man across the road is onto "Throw Your Arms Around Me Now". I'm contemplating singing along with him.
